It's not everyday we hear good news about an athlete. In this day an age we seem to constantly hear about all the negatives athletes do. Such things have ranged from Mike Vick's dog fighting business, Plaxico shooting himself, Starbury filming himself doing weird things, Stallworth's 26 days in jail for manslaughter while intoxicated, etc. I could go on for a long time and list the many negative stories that are portrayed constantly about athletes. So today, I'm taking some time to highlight a hero. Yes, a high school senior, that is the #19 best defensive end in the nation and #8 overall prospect in the state of Mississippi, Kaleb Eulls put his life on the line to save 22 other high school and younger students on a bus.
It was a routine Tuesday morning for the kids in western Mississippi heading to school. Until a fellow student, stepped on the bus with a .380 semi-automatic handgun and started threatening students on the bus. The 6'4 255 lbs Eulls became the hero that day, as he did what many of us would never think of doing. Eulls, tried to reason with the armed student and eventually just took the gun away without any concern for his well being.
