Let me welcome all the loyal Laker haters to my blog. I hope you enjoyed the Conference Semis, because I enjoyed listening to all of you non-sports knowledge having jabronis, talk about how the Lakers were going to lose Game 7. Did you not know the game was in LA? Did you not know that Kobe is nicknamed the "Black Mamba" for a reason. Yes, I know, Kobe didn't put up huge numbers. But, it's apparent he didn't have to, because the Rockets were mentally defeated as soon as they landed in LAX. Now, the same haters, keep telling me the Lakers will not beat the Nuggets. That's cool, and kind of believable because they are playing good ball. But, never bet against Kobe. Hell, never bet against Phil Jackson, dude's got ten rings. Trust me I know, he coached the greatest baller ever, Michael Jordan, but still he's got ten rings. The 'Zen Master' will have his troops ready come tomorrow night. I did my own little bulletin board material research to show you why Kobe will have a little extra fire against these Nuggets. Remember last year when Kobe went for 49 against Denver? After that game J.R. Smith made some asinine comments about Kobe, and don't get me wrong I'm a huge J.R. Smith fan (he was suppose to be a Tar Heel, but decided to go to NBA right out of high school). But do you really want to anger the guy that's "Doing Work." Here's an excerpt of what J.R. Smith said below:
"There’s no need to get all crazy about it," said Nuggets guard J.R. Smith. "Every once in a while some nobody gets a hot hand and score’s a lot of points. No need to panic. Sun shines on a dog’s ass every once in a while. I’m sure that sooner or later he’ll come back to earth. He’ll be back in the D-League before you know it."
You guys can make your own conclusions to his statements. I just don't understand the whole, he'll be back in the D-League before you know it. To read the article that breaks down Smith's statements click here. And let's not forget that the Lakers still have home-court advantage. As long as we can keep Kobe away from those hotel beezys, I'm taking the Lakers in 6.
Extra Credit: I expect the Magic to give the Cavs a run for their money. I know the NBA wants nothing more than a Cavs-Lakers matchup, but the Magic can give them fits. With that said, can anyone really bet against 'Bron 'Bron. I only bet against 'Bron Bron when he's facing "Black Mamba." Shout out to Skip to My Lou aka Rafer Alston, Fresno's State's very own, for being an integral part of the Magic's run to the Conference Finals.
